Do not operate at the level of bestiality, nor allow yourself to adopt destructive instincts and habits that lead toward misfortune, lack, fear, anxiety, and suffering.
Your mind is your strength, your power, your light, and your love.
When the mind is carefully guarded, disciplined, and directed toward goodness, it becomes a powerful instrument for victory, success, wisdom, and the attainment of blessings.
Therefore, guard your mind meticulously.
Never allow the habits of the foolish, the drunkard, the smoker, the gossip, the jealous, the perpetually worried, the gluttonous, the doubter, the complainer, the dishonest, the lazy, the idle, or the immoral to disturb the light, love, wisdom, and strength within you.
Your progress, prosperity, health, spiritual development, and ability to fulfil your destiny are profoundly influenced by your capacity for self-control and mental discipline.
Fill your mind with prayer and constructive thoughts to such an extent that there is little room for evil thoughts, unnecessary fear, doubt, worry, hatred, or destructive habits.
Become the Architect of Your Progress
Too often, people unknowingly participate in creating the conditions of their own failures.
Fear becomes a habit.
Doubt becomes a habit.
Complaining becomes a habit.
Inactivity becomes a habit.
Eventually, the individual says:
“I cannot make progress in life.”
But how can you repeatedly tell the divine intelligence within you that you cannot succeed while simultaneously expecting your life to manifest victory?
The mind must be trained to recognize possibility rather than continually anticipate defeat.
When we say “Mind is God,” we are emphasizing the sacred creative potential of the mind—the inner faculty through which intention, discipline, wisdom, prayer, and action are directed toward manifestation.
Do not use this tremendous instrument against yourself.
A Strong Mind Is Developed
Mental strength does not necessarily appear overnight.
It is cultivated.
It is exercised.
It is strengthened through repetition and disciplined practice.
Daily affirmation, constructive self-talk, prayer, contemplation, learning, physical exercise, purposeful work, and actions accompanied by positive emotions can gradually develop a mind that is:
healthy, positive, courageous, disciplined, focused, resilient, and spiritually vibrant.
Physical exercise should not be neglected.
A disciplined body can support a disciplined mind, while a disciplined mind can strengthen our capacity to act wisely in the physical and spiritual dimensions of life.
Move.
Work.
Walk.
Exercise.
Pray.
Learn.
Reflect.
Improve yourself continually.
Let the goodness of Olodumare—the infinite light, love, and wisdom of creation—fill your mind.
When wisdom, discipline, faith, and constructive action work together, possibilities begin to emerge where previously you saw only barriers.
The Spiritual Law of Association
Be conscious of the people with whom you continually associate.
Human beings influence one another through words, habits, attitudes, expectations, and behavior.
If you continually surround yourself with drunkenness, immorality, gossip, laziness, uncontrolled anger, jealousy, or constant negativity, those behaviors may gradually begin to appear normal.
Eventually, without realizing it, you may start thinking, speaking, and behaving in similar ways.
This is the law of association and relationship:
What continually surrounds the mind can gradually influence the mind.
Therefore, choose your associations wisely.
Seek people who encourage wisdom.
Seek people who value discipline.
Seek people who work.
Seek people who learn.
Seek people who pray.
Seek people who demonstrate good character.
Seek people whose presence encourages you to become better rather than weaker.
This does not mean that we should hate, condemn, or despise those struggling with destructive habits. Rather, we should possess enough wisdom to recognize when another person’s behavior is beginning to disturb our own peace, discipline, purpose, or spiritual direction.
Protect the God Within
Never allow another person’s destructive state of mind to determine the condition of your own.
Do not allow another person’s fear to become your fear.
Do not allow another person’s doubt to become your doubt.
Do not allow another person’s anger to become your anger.
Do not allow another person’s indiscipline to destroy your discipline.
And never allow the foolishness of another person to extinguish the divine light within you.
Your mind should become a sanctuary of prayer, wisdom, gratitude, discipline, good character, constructive thought, and divine love.
The transformation begins within.
Change your thoughts.
Improve your habits.
Strengthen your body.
Discipline your emotions.
Guard your words.
Examine your associations.
Increase your knowledge.
Strengthen your spiritual practice.
And continually direct your life toward what is good.
Through consistent effort, may you witness the divine wisdom and power of Olodumare and His numerous divinities operating within your life, your work, your destiny, and your future generations.
May your mind remain filled with light.
May your thoughts attract wisdom.
May your character attract respect.
May your discipline produce progress.
May your actions create blessings.
May your spiritual state remain strong.
And may Olodumare bless you today, tomorrow, and from generation to generation.
Guard your mind, for your mind is power.
Àṣẹ.
