Fight with Your Spirit: Awaken the Inner Strength to Overcome Life

Fighting and striving through your spirit is one of the most difficult things a person can do in this world.

Inner strength is among the greatest powers that Infinite Intelligence has placed within your life and essence. It enables you to confront difficulties and make your way through the jungle of life.

However, most people do not understand how to fight with their spirit. They search for strength outside themselves while neglecting the immense spiritual power dwelling within.

To fight with your spirit does not mean acting violently or harming yourself or others. It means awakening your inner strength, mastering your mind and directing the energies of your soul towards the challenges before you.

Wisdom Must Come Before Spiritual Power

Before attempting to work through the power of the spirit, you must first develop wisdom.

Wisdom enables you to handle the electric current of the spirit and soul without injuring yourself or the people beside and around you. Spiritual power without wisdom may become destructive, while wisdom gives that power direction, balance and purpose.

The spiritual current is powerful. It must be approached with patience, discipline, mental stability, good character and self-control.

A person who has not learned to govern their thoughts, words, emotions and actions may be unable to direct spiritual energy wisely. The first battle is therefore not against the world—it is the struggle to understand and master oneself.

“Emi mi ni mo fi njagun”

According to the teaching:

“Emi mi ni mo fi njagun.”

“I fight judiciously and vehemently with my soul and spirit.”

This declaration recognises that the deepest power required to confront life does not come only from physical strength. It arises from the union of the mind, soul, spirit, character and divine intelligence.

To fight judiciously means to act with wisdom. To fight vehemently means to persist with determination and courage. Together, these qualities enable a person to remain strong without becoming reckless, destructive or spiritually unbalanced.

The spirit should not be used blindly. It must be directed through wisdom, love and disciplined intention.

When the Soul and Spirit Become Weak

When the spirit and soul are weakened, life itself begins to lose strength, direction and meaning.

A weakened soul may surrender easily to fear, worry, anxiety, confusion and hopelessness. A weakened spirit may lose the courage required to endure challenges and continue along the path of destiny.

Those who learn to fight through the spirit do not accept defeat as their permanent condition. Even when they fall, they summon the strength to rise again. Even when confronted by hardship, they search for wisdom, direction and the next appropriate step.

They enjoy the cosmic current and the impeccable, infinite energies that radiate throughout and pervade the universe. Through spiritual awareness, they learn to align their inner essence with these sustaining forces.

The person who strengthens the spirit does not become free from every challenge. Instead, they develop the spiritual capacity to face challenges without allowing them to destroy their inner foundation.

The Power Required to Fight with the Spirit

The process of fighting through one’s spirit requires:

  • Sound mental capacity
  • Profound spiritual awareness
  • Immense physical strength
  • Intellectual development
  • Meaningful divine intelligence
  • Emotional balance
  • Good character
  • Discipline and self-control

The mind must be trained to remain focused. The spirit must be strengthened through meaningful spiritual practices. The body must be supported so that it can carry out the decisions of the mind and spirit.

Intellectual ability is also necessary. We must learn, examine, understand and act wisely. Divine intelligence helps us recognise when to advance, when to remain still, when to speak, when to be silent and how to confront a challenge without creating greater destruction.

Support Your Soul and Spirit

Learn to support yourself through different aspects and means so that your soul and spirit can grow strong enough to face the challenges of life.

Do not continually exhaust your inner being without renewal. Just as the physical body requires nourishment, rest and movement, the spirit and soul require prayer, discipline, wisdom and periods of spiritual restoration.

Among the most effective ways to develop the soul and spirit are:

  • Periods of purposeful isolation
  • Initiations
  • Sacrifice
  • Discipline
  • Reading and continuous learning
  • Prayer
  • Fasting
  • Rituals
  • Offerings
  • Good habits
  • Patience
  • Calmness
  • Upright character
  • Mental control
  • Self-control

These practices strengthen the inner foundation from which a person confronts the jungle of life.

Isolation, when used wisely, creates space for reflection, prayer and spiritual renewal. Reading strengthens intellectual capacity. Prayer focuses the mind and spirit. Fasting develops discipline. Sacrifice, rituals and offerings support spiritual alignment. Patience and calmness prevent the individual from reacting destructively.

Good habits create stability, while self-control protects spiritual power from being wasted through anger, fear and impulsive conduct.

Overcoming Fear, Worry and Anxiety

To fight effectively through the spirit, we must develop the ability to overcome fear, worry, anxiety and the consciousness of lack. These conditions can create distortion and destruction within the soul and spirit.

Fear may cause us to retreat before the battle begins. Worry consumes energy without producing solutions. Anxiety can scatter the mind and weaken concentration. A persistent consciousness of lack may prevent us from recognising the strength and opportunities already present.

This does not mean pretending that problems do not exist. It means refusing to allow problems to rule the mind.

Face reality with wisdom. Prepare yourself mentally, spiritually, physically and intellectually. Direct your attention towards constructive action and fill your mind with prayer, patience and confidence.

When the mind becomes calm, the spirit can act with greater clarity.

Take Control of Your Destiny

You are spirit, and you possess the capacity to overcome challenges. However, you must learn to recognise this truth and consciously take responsibility for your destiny.

Spiritual strength does not mean waiting passively for difficulties to disappear. It means developing the wisdom, discipline and courage required to meet them.

Do not abandon your power because the path is difficult. Do not weaken your spirit through continuous fear or self-doubt. Do not allow temporary circumstances to convince you that your destiny has been defeated.

Strengthen your soul. Train your mind. Support your body. Develop your intellect. Deepen your spiritual wisdom and remain connected to the divine current of life.

The battle within is often the most difficult battle. Yet when the mind, soul and spirit become united through wisdom and discipline, the individual gains the strength to confront every battle in the jungle of life.

Remember:

Emi mi ni mo fi njagun.

I fight judiciously and vehemently with my soul and spirit.

And always recognise:

Iwo gangan l’Orisa.

You are the spirit that possesses the divine spark of life.

Ase.
