Your private life therefore deserves careful attention. Guard your words, thoughts, and intentions. During moments of solitude, take sacred materials and pray, reflect, and communicate your thoughts and emotions to the cosmic forces that sustain the universe.

In Yoruba wisdom there is a saying: “Ìwọ gan-an l’Òrìṣà.”
This means that the divine spark also exists within you. Human consciousness carries a connection to universal power capable of influencing life at many levels of existence.

When praying with orógbó (bitter kola), one may affirm positive intentions such as:

“Today my life attracts supernatural blessings, miracles, and great fortune.
