Ifá, under the energy of Ofun Ogbe, speaks of patience, good character, mental stability, and spiritual balance. These qualities are especially important between spouses and among family members, relatives, friends, and spiritual groups. When harmony is maintained, it creates a foundation for lasting prosperity and generational blessings.

Patience in Building and Preserving Wealth

Ifá says that those who carry the energy of Ofun Ogbe should exercise patience while building wealth. They must also cultivate good habits so that arrogance does not cause them to lose their wealth, health, wisdom, or respected position.

Wealth may be acquired through effort and opportunity, but preserving it requires character, patience, self-control, and spiritual wisdom.

Ifá therefore advises us to care for:

  • Orí — our destiny, inner essence, and spiritual direction
  • Ìwà — our character and conduct
  • Sùúrù — our patience and ability to remain calm

These three qualities help us attract blessings, preserve success, and establish prosperity that can benefit future generations.

End Fighting and Restore Family Harmony

Ofun Ogbe warns against constant fighting, conflict, and hostility between spouses and within families or groups. Jealousy, envy, resentment, and arrogance weaken relationships and may destroy what people have laboured to build.

Ifá teaches that wisdom, good character, patience, focus, and spiritual balance make an enormous difference in achieving success and sustaining it.

Self-control is essential. We should not allow anger, pride, or careless behaviour to destroy our homes, relationships, businesses, or accumulated blessings.

True love grows where people practise patience, generosity, forgiveness, respect, and peaceful communication.

Those Who Give Never Lack

Ifá says that those who give never lack. Giving is not only an act of generosity; it is also a way of fulfilling destiny and creating room for blessings to circulate.

We may give:

  • Food and material assistance
  • Wisdom and encouragement
  • Time and responsible service
  • Support to family and community
  • Offerings prescribed through divination
  • Kindness, forgiveness, and peaceful words

Giving should be accompanied by wisdom and should not become an excuse for exploitation. True generosity arises from good character, responsibility, and sincere concern for life.

Winning, Losing, and Spiritual Wisdom

Ofun Ogbe speaks of both winning and losing. However, spiritual wisdom, patience, self-control, and good character can prevent unnecessary losses and establish lasting victory.

Ifá sees wealth, riches, prosperity, and great fortune approaching, but warns against arrogance. Pride can cause a person to lose dramatically what was built patiently over many years.

Success must therefore be carried with humility.

The Central Teaching of Ofun Ogbe

Ofun Ogbe teaches that prosperity is not sustained by money alone. Lasting wealth requires patience, humility, generosity, peaceful relationships, good character, and respect for Orí.

Ifá advises us to avoid arrogance, jealousy, resentment, and unnecessary conflict. We should remain calm and spiritually balanced as we build our families, businesses, communities, and destinies.

Sacrifices or rituals connected with this Odù should be undertaken only according to proper divination and under the guidance of a trustworthy and qualified Babaláwo or Ìyánífá.

May wealth dwell within our homes without destroying our character. May patience preserve our blessings, and may every good fortune meet us upon our path.
