Olodumare, Infinite Intelligence and the Power of the Mind

All things were created by Infinite Intelligence. Within Yorùbá tradition, we call this supreme energy, power and intelligence Olodumare.

Olodumare is the source of the divinities, deities, humanity and every other creature—seen and unseen—within creation. Without this Infinite Intelligence, nothing could exist. Infinite Intelligence creates all things by expressing divine power through them.

Therefore, the body, life, soul and spirit of every human being originate from this sacred Source. Humanity carries the spark of Infinite Intelligence. In this spiritual understanding, every person is Spirit expressed through physical existence.

The Battle Begins Within the Mind

Spirit, in its pure essence, cannot be limited. Many of the limitations under which people struggle are strengthened by fear, doubt, conditioning and false beliefs held within the mind.

The battle for victory begins within the human mind—the sacred centre through which we perceive, decide and act. If a person fails to recognize that victory must first be conceived inwardly, that person may struggle to understand their spiritual nature and fulfil their divine mission.

Freedom begins with the realization that we can challenge beliefs rooted in fear, lack and misfortune. This liberation requires discipline, mental control, emotional balance and physical strength. It also requires us to express love, light and wisdom towards ourselves, other people and everything within our surroundings.

Above all, we must fill the mind with prayer.

The Spiritual Laws of Self-Mastery

To become masters of ourselves, we must observe the spiritual principles of discipline, prayer, gratitude, patience, wisdom and good character. These principles help prevent us from becoming enslaved by our uncontrolled thoughts, harmful habits and surrounding influences.

We are called to pursue the self-mastery demonstrated by the divinities, deities, saints, saviours and sages. When we abandon discipline and surrender ourselves to destructive behaviour, we create conditions in which suffering, confusion and lack can flourish.

This teaching should never be used to blame people for illness, hardship or death. Spiritual discipline can strengthen hope, resilience and purposeful action, but it does not make anyone physically invulnerable or replace necessary medical care. Seeking professional help is an expression of wisdom and responsibility.

Begin Victory Within

We can pursue the abundance of creation because Infinite Intelligence is abundant and lacks nothing. Let us begin the journey towards victory, success and prosperity within our minds.

We should fill our minds with prayer and gratitude so that our lives may become aligned with the sacred power within us. We must refuse to allow fear, hardship or temporary conditions to destroy our hope, dignity and spiritual purpose.

Let the mind contemplate:

  • Victory and healing
  • Good health and strength
  • Prosperity and abundance
  • Harmony and peace
  • Wisdom and knowledge
  • Patience and calmness
  • Success and fulfilment

When these qualities fill the mind, they can guide our decisions, habits and actions towards a more meaningful life. Inner conviction must be accompanied by wise conduct, responsible choices and consistent effort.

Train the Mind and the Mouth

Let us train our minds and mouths through prayer, appropriate fasting, patience, calmness, good habits, discipline and daily movement.

Our thoughts should inspire positive action. Our words should communicate life, gratitude and encouragement. Our character should demonstrate the spiritual wisdom we claim to possess.

This is the light of truth: the transformation we seek in the world must first be welcomed, cultivated and strengthened within us.

It is well with us today, and it shall remain well with us for as long as the sun continues to appear.
