Prayer, Fasting, Vigil and Spiritual Communication
This is the time to use the spirit and power of Ẹlà Ọmọ Ọ̀ṣin Asiwájú to induce miracles from Gbálẹ̀ into the realm of matter—the physical world in which we presently exist—and, at the same time, to send a spiritual message of peace to Gbálẹ̀ for all our departed souls.
Remember that Ẹlà Ọmọ Ọ̀ṣin teaches us to train the mind, utterances and physical body so that we may withstand evil, deter misfortune and induce miracles. A trained soul, a disciplined mind and a trained mouth will find it easier to pray for oneself and for others in the spirit of harmony, peace and serenity.
During these three days, please take time to chant the names on the prayer list one by one. Call each name with positive feelings, good emotions, concentration and sincere intention.
Pronounce blessings, miracles, wonders, victory, success, happiness, breakthrough, healing, perfect health, longevity, peace, harmony, fortune, greatness, fulfilling relationships, prosperity, wealth and riches into the lives of those whose names are on the list.
When the mind is at peace and the mouth speaks positively in alignment with good thoughts, miracles and healing may be sought through prayer. This is why control of the mind and control of our utterances are essential parts of this spiritual exercise.
Prayer, fasting, vigil and Ègùn
According to this teaching, when prayer, fasting and vigil are undertaken properly and with profound concentration, the person praying may enter an altered spiritual state in which impressions, messages or spiritual information may arise.
Within this tradition, this method of spiritual communication is called Ègùn—a state in which the body becomes incorporated into or deeply aligned with the spirit at a higher level of existence.
For this reason, inner peace is essential. When praying for each person, remain calm and attentive. Do not force an experience. Pray, listen, observe and maintain clarity of mind.
This is a three-day spiritual and divine journey. During this period, discipline yourself and stay away from:
anger, resentment, hatred, worry, stress, anxiety, drunkenness, immoral conduct, smoking, curses, abuse and negative thoughts.
Let the three days instead be filled with prayer, discipline, peaceful thoughts, good character, positive utterances, faith, concentration and love for those for whom we are praying.
Remember also that when we sincerely pray for the wellbeing of others, we cultivate the same blessings within ourselves. Therefore, pray without selfishness. Pray for the sick, the troubled, the living and the departed. Pray for peace within families and for those who need strength, healing, protection and spiritual support.
Pray. Fast. Concentrate. Believe. Have faith.
May our prayers reach Gbálẹ̀ in peace.
May peace accompany our departed souls.
May those in the physical realm receive blessings and support.
May our minds remain calm and disciplined.
May our mouths pronounce blessings rather than misfortune.
May our spiritual journey be filled with wisdom, harmony and serenity.
May Ẹlà Ìwòrì bless you forever.
Héèpà Ẹlà Ọmọ Ọ̀ṣin Asiwájú.
Héèpà Irúnmọlẹ̀.
Àṣẹ.
