Ogbe Osa teaches that fear, worry, anxiety, gossip, and concern about the opinions of others have prevented many great souls from pursuing their destinies. Under the spiritual vibration of this Odù, Ifá speaks of confronting these obstacles through the prescribed sacrifice, spiritual discipline, wisdom, patience, and good character.

These spiritual steps are intended to help the individual reduce the influence of fear and negative emotions, restore inner stability, and move courageously toward the fulfilment of destiny.

Face Your Fear Honestly

Ifá says: Do not deceive yourself. Face your fear.

Do not automatically attribute every failure, problem, or challenge to another person. Examine your decisions, conduct, habits, preparation, and responsibilities. Through honest self-examination, sound spiritual action, patience, wisdom, and good character, you can begin to overcome the obstacles standing before you.

This does not mean that every hardship is your fault. It means that you must recognise your personal power and concentrate upon the actions within your control.

Fear may appear, but it must not govern your destiny.

Complete What You Begin

Ifá advises that whatever you begin, you should endeavour to complete. Do not abandon an important undertaking merely because the beginning is difficult.

The expression “A nri ajeku oro” teaches that the spirit or divinity does not perform an important task halfway.

The road may initially appear extremely difficult. However, when you endure, persevere, and refuse to abandon your worthy purpose, you create the possibility of prevailing and becoming great in the end.

Discipline must continue after excitement has disappeared. Commitment must remain when circumstances become uncomfortable. The ability to complete what you begin is one of the qualities that distinguishes an ordinary intention from a fulfilled destiny.

Courage in the Face of Life’s Challenges

Ogbe Osa speaks of confronting the challenges of life with dignity, courage, strength, determination, and wisdom.

Ifá teaches that people carrying the vibration of Ogbe Osa may encounter strong opposition, rivalry, misunderstanding, or false accusations. Yet adversity does not have to destroy them. When they maintain good character, spiritual discipline, patience, and focus, their challenges may become instruments of transformation.

The greater the opposition, the greater their determination can become.

Orí heard the instruction concerning sacrifice and performed the sacrifice.

Won Ni Okiki Ki Pojo, Ariwo Ki Pa Osun

Fame and public commotion cannot interrupt the natural order of life, time, the day, or the moon.

No amount of noise, accusation, or opposition can permanently prevent the universe from following its ordained course.

Ina Ta Da De Igunnugun, Eye Miran La Ma Fi Sun

When a fire is prepared to roast the vulture, another bird is roasted in its place.

This verse symbolically teaches diversion from intended misfortune. A danger prepared against a person may fail to reach its intended destination when that individual remains spiritually protected and aligned with wisdom.

Ebo Ta Gbe Ti Iroko, Ara Loluwere Nfi Nsan

The sacrifice presented to the sacred Iroko tree attracts abundance and spiritual benefit.

Within the message of this verse, the evil intended against a person may ultimately become a source of wisdom, elevation, recognition, and unexpected blessings.

Ifa Ni Eniti A Da Ifa Yi Fun, Awon Ota O Ma Peri Re Nibi, Okiki Re A Ma Tan Si Ni

Ifá says that the person for whom this Odù is divined will prevail over the secret plans of adversaries. The individual will attract recognition, honour, and a favourable reputation.
