PRAY, WALK, WORK AND KEEP YOUR MIND IN MOTION

The importance of praying, walking, working and continually engaging in beneficial activities is that these practices help divert our mood, mind and thoughts away from negativity and toward something that adds value to our own lives and to the lives of other creatures in creation.

Life requires movement. Our thoughts, bodies, spiritual lives and actions should continually be directed toward light, love, wisdom, growth and beneficial creation.

WORK — TRANSFORM YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES

Work is not merely a means of earning a living. Work can also become a form of therapy—a therapeutic step through which we transform a life of lack into an experience of success, prosperity, fulfilment and abundance.

Work as if your life depends upon it.

Work is one of the simplest ways of changing our circumstances from mediocrity into greatness.

Put your effort, mind, discipline and life into meaningful work. When your work adds genuine value to creation, nature responds, people recognize its usefulness, and opportunities arise to support your mission and vision.

Prayer should therefore never become an excuse for inactivity.

Pray—and work.

Spiritual wisdom and physical effort should complement each other.

WALK — LIFE IS MOVEMENT

Walking represents one of the fundamental principles of existence: movement.

Nothing in the cosmos remains completely static. Creation is continually moving, transforming and renewing itself.

Consider stagnant water. When a river ceases to flow, its condition changes. Likewise, when the human body remains continually inactive, weakness can develop.

Therefore:

Move every day.

Walk.

Work.

Exercise.

Breathe.

Engage with the Earth.

Allow your body to participate in the movement of creation.

Movement also influences our emotions and thoughts. Sometimes what the mind cannot immediately resolve through thinking becomes clearer when the body begins to move.

PROTECT THE POWER OF YOUR MIND

Your mind is powerful.

Within this teaching, it is the seat of power, divine light and spiritual wisdom.

Never allow vices, weak thoughts or indiscipline—whether arising from within yourself or coming through the influence of others—to dominate your mind.

Be conscious of your associations.

Learn from the greatest.

Associate with the brightest.

Seek the company of those whose wisdom, discipline and character illuminate rather than darken your path.

Through learning and proper association, ignorance can become wisdom, darkness can become illumination, and foolishness can develop into sagehood.

But this transformation requires discipline.

NURTURE THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT

Your body also requires proper care.

Nurture it with good food.

Nurture your mind with good thoughts.

Breathe clean, fresh air.

Walk upon Ilẹ̀ Ògèèrè—Mother Earth.

Experience the morning and the sunlight.

Through nature we encounter the blessings and manifestations associated in this teaching with Afẹ́fẹ́, Ilẹ̀ Ògèèrè, Oòrùn, Òwúrọ̀ Kùtùkùtù, Ọ̀sán Gangan, Ọ̀run Ọ̀gànjọ́, Ẹgbẹ́, and the host of other great forces and divinities within creation.

Human beings should not separate themselves completely from nature. We are participants within its rhythms.

TRAIN YOUR THOUGHTS

Your thoughts should increasingly produce:

Love. Light. Freedom. Wisdom. Good health. Good experiences. Victory.

Avoid excessive thinking that gradually turns into hatred of yourself or hostility toward others.

When something contradicts your expectations or challenges your plans, do not immediately interpret it only as misfortune. Ask:

What can I learn from this?

How can this experience improve my wisdom?

What should I change?

What action should I take?

Even difficult circumstances can contain lessons capable of changing the direction of our lives and destinies.

Fill your mind with prayer and train your thoughts toward constructive possibilities under every circumstance.

EVERYTHING CAN BE LEARNED

Many of the qualities required for a successful life are not simply given to us—they can be developed.

You can learn to become more positive.

You can learn discipline.

You can learn patience.

You can learn to control your thoughts.

You can learn to speak more carefully.

You can learn to work consistently.

You can train your body to move.

You can improve your attitude.

You can become more conscious of your actions.

Therefore, be disciplined with your:

Mind.
Thoughts.
Work.
Walk.
Words.
Attitude.
Actions.

Pray with purpose.

Walk with awareness.

Work with dedication.

Think constructively.

Speak wisely.

Act beneficially.

Keep yourself moving toward light, love and wisdom.

You are blessed forever.
